Stig Åvall Severinsen is the creator of breatheology. Since his birth in 1973, he has loved water, sports and nature. He has won 4 freediving World Championships and set several freediving World Records.
In Spring 2010 he set two new Guinness World Records - swimming 72 meters under ice and holding his breath for 20 minutes 10 seconds in a tropical shark tank after inhaling pure oxygen.
With a Master Degree in Biology and a PhD in Medicine he has a profound interest in natural and health science. Author of the Danish bestseller book (breatheology - more info HERE) which has finally been translated into English.
Stigs aim with breatheology is to create a common ground for people interested in learning more about the benefits of breathing and breath holding. Whether in everyday life, sports, prevention of sickness, episodes of stress or rehabilitation.
